The CGS Tool 3109 is this 3/8" diameter, 3-flute solid carbide square end mill from the Storm 3100 Series. It’s made for production milling, where the cutter has to deal with high chip loads and pretty aggressive cutting pressure without, you know, losing rigidity.
It uses a 60° high helix, a heavy core, and an eccentric relief layout, so the tool stays rugged even when the cutting conditions are rough. Then with a 1-1/2" length of cut and 3" overall length , the 3109 ends up being a solid choice for steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, alloys, Inconel, and certain non-ferrous materials too.
