Tough production milling at a larger diameter still needs the rugged Storm approach, and the 3116 delivers it at 5/8". This 3-flute square end mill comes from the Storm 3000 Series, built to handle higher chip loads, aggressive cutting pressure, and demanding materials.The Storm design comes with a 60° high helix, a heavy core, and eccentric relief in a “hold up” way, to help the tool stay rugged when the machining gets difficult and a bit chaotic. Then you’ve got a 1-3/4" length of cut and a 4" overall length, so the 3116 becomes a solid choice for high pressure CNC work .
