The CGS Tool 740-3125-ALTiN is this 5/16" diameter, 4-flute solid carbide square end mill, made for general-purpose milling with a bit more reach too. It’s useful in places where you want slots and profiles done right, plus plunge cuts or side wall work that still need a clean square-end cutting, you know the idea.
The ALTiN coating brings extra heat and wear resistance when conditions get harsher, and since it has a 1-3/8" length of cut with a 3" overall length, plus a 30° helix, this 740 Series cutter ends up delivering consistent square-end performance through mild steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, plastics and composites.
