The CGS Tool CR2039.030-S is a 1/2” diameter 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made for high-speed machining in aluminum , other non-ferrous metals , plastics and also composite materials. It’s part of the CR2000 Series Ferocious lineup, so it brings this aggressive material removal attitude along with a pretty tough level of durability, which makes it well suited for those demanding CNC milling tasks.
Built from quality solid carbide, the CR2039.030-S includes CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, so it can push better chip evacuation, keep cutting forces in check , and really help you run higher feed rates. The .030" corner radius gives extra strength right at the cutting edge, which helps cut down on chipping while also supporting improved tool life and a cleaner surface finish. Then there’s the ZrN coating, it adds more wear resistance, helps reduce built-up edge, and boosts performance when working with aluminum, plus those other non-ferrous materials
