The CGS Tool CR2048.015-S , is a 5/8” diameter 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made for high speed machining on aluminum, non ferrous metals , plastics and composite materials. It sits in the CR2000 Series Ferocious lineup, and gives you that solid cutting behavior ,durability , and a cleaner surface finish too , even when the CNC milling gets demanding.
Built from premium solid carbide, the CR2048.015-S features CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry , and that design helps with quick chip removal, lower cutting forces, and it also supports more aggressive feed rates. The .015" corner radius, kinda reinforces the cutting edge, so you see less chipping, longer tool life, and it keeps the dimensional accuracy steady. On top of that, its ZrN coating ramps up wear resistance, cuts down built up edge formation, and improves overall performance when you’re machining aluminum and other non ferrous workpieces.
