Product Overview

The CGS Tool CR2048.030 is a 5/8” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made for high speed machining mainly of aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics and composite materials too. This is part of the CR2000 Series Ferocious, and it gives strong cutting results, more edge toughness and a really nice surface finish, especially in demanding CNC milling jobs.
Made from premium solid carbide, the CR2048.030 runs on CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which helps chip evacuation a lot and keeps cutting forces lower. The .030" corner radius supports the cutting edge, so it helps reduce chipping and stretch the tool life , while still holding dimensional accuracy. It’s an uncoated design, tuned for clean cutting behavior in aluminum and other non-ferrous stuff.
