The CGS Tool 1018-ALTiN is a 1/2" diameter 4-flute solid carbide square end mill built specifically for heavy roughing and slot milling, the ALTiN-coated counterpart in the Beast Series lineup for shops that need extra edge life on top of aggressive material removal. It belongs to the Beast 1000 Series, CGS Tool's dedicated roughing line.
What sets this tool apart is the same chip breaker design that defines the Beast line, snapping chips into shorter segments to cut spindle load, now paired with an ALTiN coating for added heat and wear resistance on longer runs. With a variable helix to fight chatter, it holds up through steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, superalloys, Inconel, and select non-ferrous materials.
