Product Overview
The CGS Tool 142-2500 is a 1/4” diameter 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill from the 142 Series, sized for shops that want the flute count of a 4-flute tool but the rounded profile of a ball nose. It sits in that useful middle ground between a finishing tool and a full production cutter.
Built on the same precision CNC equipment as CGS Tool's other General Purpose lines, it holds a 30° helix and a .125” ball radius matched to its diameter. Uncoated and rated across mild steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites, it's the kind of tool that gets reached for constantly precisely because it doesn't specialize in any one job.
