Product Overview
The CGS Tool 2042 has a 1/2” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide square end mill. It is meant for maximum chip removal and that extra clean surface finish in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics. Belonging to the ferocious series, it’s made for machinists who want serious performance even when the feed rates are out there, at the extreme level.
Made with premium sub-micro grain carbide, the 2042 comes with a 55° high helix that helps with chip evacuation, lowers cutting forces and keeps surface finishes looking really sharp. The polished cutting edges and the free-cutting geometry help cut down built-up edges , while still keeping a great tool life, even during high-speed CNC work.
