Product Overview
The CGS Tool 2042-S has a 1/2” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide square end mill. It's made to push maximum material removal and also keep surface precision high in aluminum , non-ferrous metals and plastics. It comes from the ferocious series so it's aimed at machinists who want top tier performance even when they run extreme feed rates.
Built using premium sub-micro grain carbide, the 2042-S has a 55° high helix , for better chip evacuation plus lower cutting forces, and it helps with that really clean surface finish too. The polished cutting edges and the free-cutting geometry help reduce built-up edges without sacrificing tool life , even during high-speed CNC work where everything tends to heat up and move fast.
