The CGS Tool 2045 is a 9/16” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide square end mill , made for folks who want big material removal and very clean surface results in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics. It comes from the ferocious series, so it’s meant for machinists that need top level performance even when the feed rates get extreme or wild.
Made from premium sub-micro grain carbide, the 2045 has a 55° high helix , which helps with chip evacuation, keeps the cutting forces lower, and delivers a noticeably smooth finish. The polished cutting edges plus the free-cutting geometry work together to reduce built-up edges, but still keeps the tool working longer, including when you run high speed CNC setups.
