Product Overview
The CGS Tool 2509 has a 1/4” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide square end mill. It is made for maximum material removal and that nice surface precision in aluminum, non ferrous metals, and plastics. It comes from the ferocious series and it’s really meant for machinists who want top level performance at extreme feed rates, not just “fine” speeds.
Made with premium sub micro grain carbide, the 2509 has a 55° high helix that helps with superior chip evacuation, lower cutting forces, and really clean surface finishes. The polished cutting edges and its free cutting geometry help reduce built up edge, but it still keeps strong tool life too, even during high speed CNC work.
