The CGS Tool 2536 has a 1/2” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide square end mill, meant for high-speed milling of aluminum copper brass plastics composites and other non ferrous materials. It’s part of the industry-proven 2500 Series Ferocious, so it’s engineered to deliver pretty exceptional chip evacuation aggressive feed rates and a strong material removal performance, especially in tough CNC machining environments.
Built from premium solid carbide, the 2536 includes CGS Tool’s original 55° high helix geometry. That geometry gives a sort of smooth cutting action, lowers cutting pressures, and helps with efficient chip clearance. With this design the machinist can typically run higher spindle speeds and feed rates, while still keeping excellent surface finishes and machining stability. The uncoated cutting edges are tuned for aluminum plus non ferrous uses, and they help minimize built-up edges and support clean accurate cuts.
