Product Overview
The CGS Tool 2557 has a 3/4” diameter, 2 flutes solid carbide square end mill, it’s meant for high speed milling in aluminum, copper, brass, plastics composites and other non-ferrous stuff. As part of the industry leading 2500 Series, the Ferocious line, this tool is engineered to bring exceptional material removal rates and aggressive feed speeds, plus better machining efficiency for those demanding CNC jobs.
Made from premium solid carbide , the 2557 has CGS Tool’s original 55° high helix geometry, and that gives you outstanding chip evacuation. It also helps reduce cutting forces, and keeps the machining feeling smoother than expected, even under load. The advanced free-cutting design lets machinists run some of the highest chip loads and feed rates per tooth you’ll see around. That means quicker cycle times, and more output over time. The uncoated cutting edges are tuned for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials, so the built-up edge gets minimized while you still get clean, accurate cuts, along with excellent surface finishes.
