Product Overview
The CGS Tool 2557-S has a 3/4” diameter 2-flute solid carbide square end mill. It is built for maximum output especially in aluminum, copper, brass, plastics, composites, and other non-ferrous stuff. And it’s part of the high-performance 2500 Series Ferocious line, so it is supposed to deliver exceptional material removal rates, nicer surface finishes, and dependable performance in tough high-speed CNC machining work.
Made from premium solid carbide, the 2557-S uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry , which helps with chip evacuation, lowers cutting forces a bit, and keeps the whole process smooth in real use. On top of that, the ZrN (Zirconium Nitride) coating boosts wear resistance while also reducing material adhesion and built-up edge. So in other words it tends to work really well for aluminum and a lot of other non-ferrous materials. With this setup, machinists can run pretty aggressive feed rates and high spindle speeds, while still keeping strong dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
