Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2039.015-S is a 1/2” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill , made for high speed machining in aluminum non ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. It sits inside the CR2000 Series, Ferocious, and it’s meant to give you solid cutting power, better edge durability, and that nice surface finish you want for precision CNC milling.
Made out of premium solid carbide, the CR2039.015-S uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which helps with chip evacuation and also keeps cutting forces a bit lower. The corner radius style is there to boost tool toughness by reducing stress concentration at the cutting edge, cutting down chipping, and improving surface finish quality at the same time. And then the ZrN coating adds extra wear resistance, it helps reduce built up edge, and it stretches overall tool life when you’re running aluminum or other non ferrous materials.
