The CGS Tool 5318 is a 3/8" diameter 3-flute solid carbide square end mill out of the Ferocious 3x 5300 Series, and it's built specifically for aluminum and other non-ferrous work where the goal is to move fast without leaving chatter marks behind. If you're chasing speed and a good finish in the same pass, this is the kind of tool that's supposed to make that possible.
What sets it apart is the flute geometry — a wiper end helps clean up the finish behind the cut, while the variable helix and variable pitch break up the harmonics that usually show up when you're pushing feeds hard.
