The CGS Tool 7009 is a 1/2” diameter 2-flute solid carbide ball end mill from the Profile Series, built for the same profile, deep pocket, and contour work as its 4-flute counterparts but with fewer, more open flutes for better chip clearance at this diameter. When chip evacuation matters more than raw flute count, this is the version to reach for.
It's ground on precision CNC equipment with the standard 30° helix, and the .250” ball radius suits full-diameter contour passes without needing a separate finishing tool. Uncoated and rated across mild steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites, it holds the same dependable, do-it-all reputation as the rest of the Profile line.
