Product Overview
The CGS Tool BN2006 has a 1/4” diameter 2-flute solid carbide ball end mill. It is meant for high-speed machining on aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite parts. And as part of the BN2000 Series Ferocious, it’s supposed to bring great material removal rates, nicer surface finishes, and dependable overall behavior when you push it in CNC milling tasks that are honestly pretty demanding.
It’s made from premium solid carbide, and the BN2006 has CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which helps with chip evacuation, plus it helps lower cutting forces. The precision-ground ball end shape makes it a good fit for contouring, profiling, and 3D surface machining, while the uncoated cutting edges keep the cutting action clean. In aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials, this kind of setup also helps minimize material buildup that can become annoying over time.
