Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2006.060-S is kind of a 1/4” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made more for high-speed machining… especially aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. And you know it’s also part of the CR2000 Series, which they call Ferocious. It is supposed to give you stronger edges, nice surface finishes, and pretty consistent results when you’re doing precision CNC milling.
Made from premium solid carbide, the CR2006.060-S includes CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, to help with chip evacuation and to lower cutting forces at the same time. The corner radius shape helps with durability too, by easing stress concentration right at the cutting edge, so you get less chipping, and, a better surface finish. Then the ZrN coating adds even more, it boosts wear resistance, reduces built-up edge, and generally extends tool life when you’re working on aluminum and other non-ferrous materials.
