The CGS Tool CR2018.030 is a 3/8” diameter 2 flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made for high speed machining of aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics , and composites. It comes from the CR2000 Series Ferocious, so it tends to give better edge strength, smoother surfaces ,and steadier performance for precision CNC milling jobs.
Made from premium solid carbide, the CR2018.030 has CGS Tool’s original 55° high helix geometry which helps with chip evacuation and keeps cutting forces lower. The corner radius layout is there to reinforce the cutting edge, limit chipping, and lift the surface finish quality, while still holding stable behavior in those faster machining conditions. The uncoated cutting edges are optimized for clean cutting in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials, yes that part matters.
