Product Overview

The CGS Tool CR2018.030-S is a 3/8” diameter, 2 fluted solid carbide corner radius end mill made for high speed machining of aluminum, non ferrous metals, plastics ,and composites. And it’s tied to the CR2000 Series Ferocious, so you get better edge strength, a really nice surface finish, and steady performance when you’re doing precision CNC milling things.
It’s built with solid carbide, and the CR2018.030-S uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which helps clear chips out efficiently, and also keeps cutting forces more controlled. Then the corner radius setup gives extra durability, because it lowers the stress concentration right at the cutting edge, which means less chipping and a more consistent surface finish. On top of that, the ZrN coating boosts wear resistance, helps reduce built up edge formation, and generally extends tool life especially in aluminum and other non ferrous materials.
