Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2036.060-S is a 1/2” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill. It is made for fast high-speed machining of aluminum, non ferrous metals, plastics, and even composites. Part of the CR2000 Series, it is tied to the Ferocious lineup, and it brings solid cutting bite, better edge staying power, and surface finishes for precision CNC milling work.
Built from premium solid carbide, the CR2036.060-S uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry. That helps with steadier chip evacuation and it can also lower cutting forces, kind of in the background where it matters. The corner radius layout adds to durability too, because it helps reduce stress concentration right at the cutting edge. This tends to minimize chipping, and yes, it supports that smoother surface finish feel. On top of all that, the ZrN coating boosts wear resistance, helps cut down built-up edge, and stretches tool life especially in aluminum and other non ferrous applications.
