Product Overview
The CGS Tool MX160-5000 is basically a 1/2” diameter , 6-flute solid-carbide square end mill built for those high-performance machining jobs, especially when you’re working with hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium, Inconel and other exotic alloys. In a way it sits inside the VMAX MX160 Series, and it’s engineered to keep machining steadier, push metal removal rates higher, and still give you a cleaner surface finish when you’re running demanding CNC milling programs.
For the MX160-5000, there’s an advanced variable helix plus variable pitch geometry , which is meant to reduce chatter and that harmonic vibration feeling during aggressive cutting. And then the premium nACRo high-performance coating adds serious heat resistance and wear protection, so you get longer tool life plus dependable results when you crank up cutting speeds and feed rates.
