Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV140-3123 has a 5/16” in diameter, 4-flute, solid carbide square end mill, made for those higher-performance cuts in steels and alloys. It comes from the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, and it kind of hits that sweet spot for strength, speed, and precision both for roughing and finishing jobs, depending on what you’re doing.
It’s manufactured from premium micro-grain carbide, and the HV140-3123 features a variable helix and variable index geometry with an ALTiN coating for excellent heat resistance and longer tool life, especially at high RPM. The free-cutting design improves surface finish and chip evacuation, reducing chatter and wear, allowing machinists to push feeds and speeds further without sacrificing accuracy.
