The CGS Tool 140-2500-ALTiN, it’s basically a 1/4" diameter, 4-flute solid carbide square end mill that is built mostly for general purpose roughing and finishing, but it can also do some stuff like slots, profiles, plunge cuts, and even those clean flat-bottom applications, you know.
Then the ALTiN coating gives extra heat and wear resistance, especially when the cutting conditions get tougher a bit, and with a 3/4" length of cut, 2-1/2" overall length, and a 30° helix… this 140 Series cutter keeps a controlled square-end action across mild steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, plastics, plus composites.
