The CGS Tool 242-1562-ALTiN is basically a 5/32" diameter, 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill, made for compact profile work. It comes with a .0781" radius, so you get a smooth rounded cutting form for small curved features and pocket, blending. of a neat setup overall, for that finer sculpting look.
The ALTiN coating helps manage heat and wear under more demanding machining conditions, and with a 5/16" length of cut and 2" overall length, this 242 Series cutter gives controlled ball-end performance in smaller CNC work across mild steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites.
