Clean square-end cutting with extra tool life, that's what the 440-2500-ALTiN offers at 1/4" diameter. This 4-flute square end mill uses a double-end design, giving shops two usable cutting edges before the tool needs to be replaced.
ALTiN coating gives you some protection against heat and general abrasion, so it is useful for harder or longer-running tasks where a tool without coating tends to wear faster, quickly. With a 30° helix and that compact 1/2" length of cut , the 440-2500-ALTiN works for slotting, shaping profiles, plunge machining, and side wall milling across mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, non ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials.
