Product Overview
The CGS Tool 740-3750-ALTiN, is a 3/8" diameter 4-flute solid carbide square end mill made for general milling stuff yet also with some added reach. It comes in handy for slots, outlining profiles, plunge cutting, and those neat, clean, flat-bottom jobs.
The ALTiN coating gives it better heat resistance and wear endurance when things get tougher at the cut, and with a 1-1/2" length of cut, a 3" overall length, plus a 30° helix angle, this 740 Series tool ends up being pretty dependable in mild steels, stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous materials, plastics, and composite work too.
