The CGS Tool 842-3125-ALTiN is a 5/16" diameter 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill designed for long-reach profile and contour work where the cutter needs to travel deep into a pocket and still leave a clean, rounded surface behind. Reach and finish quality don't always go together, but that's the balance this 842 Series cutter is built to strike.
The .1562" radius gives a smooth cutting form for pocket blending and curved surface work, and the ALTiN coating protects the edge through demanding milling conditions. With a 1-3/4" length of cut, 4" overall length, and 30° helix, this tool holds ball-end control across mild steels, stainless, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites.
