Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2048.060-S is a 5/8” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made mainly for fast or high-speed machining of aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics and composite material. It also sits within the CR2000 Series, the so-called Ferocious lineup, and it comes with a strong cutting performance vibe ,plus extra durability, and that nicer surface finish quality people want when the CNC milling job gets demanding.
Built from solid carbide, the CR2048.060-S uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which helps with chip evacuation, lowers cutting forces, and lets you push more aggressive feed rates. The .060" corner radius is there for extra edge strength too, so it helps reduce chipping, while still keeping excellent dimensional accuracy. And its ZrN coating gives improved wear resistance, reduces built-up edge formation, and generally boosts machining results in aluminum, plus a range of other non-ferrous work.
