Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2069.060-S is like a 1" diameter 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made for high performance machining specifically in aluminum, non ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. It’s part of the CR2000 Series Ferocious, so it tends to provide strong cutting efficiency, better edge durability, and a pretty steady surface finish quality, even when the CNC milling application gets demanding.
Made from premium solid carbide, the CR2069.060-S has CGS Tool’s original 55° high helix geometry that’s tuned to help maximize chip evacuation, lower cutting forces, and also support more aggressive feed rates. The .060" corner radius acts as a small but important reinforcement on the cutting edge, which helps minimize chipping, and in turn extends tool life while keeping dimensional accuracy in place. With an extended 4" length of cut and 7" overall length, you get solid reach for deep cavity work, long reach profiling, and heavy stock removal operations. And the ZrN coating that one helps increase wear resistance, reduces built up edge formation, and boosts machining performance in aluminum as well as other non ferrous materials.
