The CGS Tool HV140-1000 has a 1” diameter 4-flute, solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance machining, in steels and alloys. Loosely speaking , it comes from the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series and it is built to give that kind of strength, speed and precision you really want for both roughing, and finishing jobs.
Made from premium micro-grain carbide, the HV140-1000 has a variable helix plus a variable index, geometry with an ALTiN coating for top heat resistance and longer tool life even when you’re running high RPM. The free-cutting style helps the surface finish look cleaner and the chips clear out better. At the same time it cuts down on vibration, and wear, so machinists can push feeds and speeds even further, without losing the accuracy you were after in the first place.
