The CGS Tool HV140-1001 has a 1” diameter, 4 flute, solid carbide square end mill, built with high performance machining in steels and alloys in mind. It’s made as part of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, so you get this strong mix of speed, precision and just overall rigidity, for both roughing work and final finishing.
Made with premium micro-grain carbide, the HV140-1001 comes with a variable helix and a variable index geometry, plus an ALTiN coating that helps a lot with heat resistance and tool life when you run high RPM. The free-cutting style also helps with better surface results, chip evacuation, and it keeps vibration and wear smaller or more controlled, so machinists can push the feeds and speeds further, without losing accuracy or that tightness you care about.
