Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV140-1875 has a 3/16” diameter, 4 flute solid carbide square end mill made for high performance cutting in steels and alloys. It’s built into the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series so you get that better strength, speed, and precision not only for roughing but also for the finishing side of things, pretty steady overall.
Made from premium micro grain carbide, the HV140-1875 uses a variable helix and variable index layout, plus an ALTiN coating. That combination gives strong heat resistance and longer tool life when you run high RPM. The free-cutting approach helps with surface quality and chip evacuation, it also reduces chatter, vibration, and wear. So machinists can push feeds and speeds further, without losing accuracy, or at least not in a noticeable way.
