Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV140-2500 has a 1/4” diameter, 4-flute solid carbide square end mill made for high performance cutting in steels, plus various alloys. It sits inside the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series so it basically brings a kind of unmatched strength, speed, and accuracy for both roughing work and finishing jobs.
Made from top quality micro-grain carbide, the HV140-2500 has a variable helix along with variable index geometry, and it comes with an ALTiN coating . This combo helps with heat resistance and gives longer tool life when the RPMs are high. The free-cutting configuration also helps with surface finish, and chip removal , while at the same time reducing chatter, vibration, and wear, so machinists can push feeds and speeds further, without losing accuracy.
