Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV140-2501 has a 1/4” diameter, 4 flute, solid carbide square end mill made for high performance cutting on steels and a range of alloys. It’s built as part of the Hi Velocity (HV) Series, so it brings that same kind of power for both roughing and finishing work, with a sort of unmatched strength, speed and precision, all in one.
Made from premium micro grain carbide, the HV140-2501 has a variable helix plus a variable index geometry, and it’s topped with an ALTiN coating to help with heat resistance and longer tool life when you’re running at high RPM. The free-cutting design helps the surface look cleaner and pushes chip evacuation along while also limiting vibration , and wear , so machinists can run feeds and speeds further up without losing accuracy.
