Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV140-3750 has a 3/8” diameter, 4-flute, solid carbide square end mill that is kind of made for high performance cutting on steels plus other alloys. It comes from the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series, so yeah it’s built to give you strength, speed, and precision, for both roughing and finishing tasks.
Made using premium micro-grain carbide , the HV140-3750 has a variable helix and a variable index type geometry. On top of that it uses an ALTiN coating which helps with heat resistance and a longer tool life when running at high RPM. The free-cutting style helps with the surface finish, plus it makes chip evacuation better, while it also cuts down on vibration and general wear . So machinists can push feeds and speeds further, without giving up accuracy.
