Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV140-5000 is a 1/2" diameter 4-flute solid carbide square end mill from the Hi-Velocity HV Series, engineered for shops running steels and alloys at higher RPM where strength and chip evacuation both need to hold up under pressure. This is a high-performance tool, not a general-purpose one, and it's built accordingly.
Made from solid micro-grain carbide, the HV140-5000 uses variable helix and variable index geometry with an ALTiN coating to keep cutting smooth even as speeds climb. With a 1" length of cut and 3" overall length, it covers roughing, finishing, slotting, and profiling in steels, stainless steels, hardened materials, and alloys.
