Product Overview
The CGS Tool HV742-2500 has a 1/4” diameter, 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill made for high-performance machining in steels + different alloys. It comes out of the Hi-Velocity (HV) Series so you get this serious mix of strength, pace, and precision whether you are doing heavy stock removal or the finishing stuff.
Built with premium micro-grain carbide the HV742-2500 has a variable helix and a variable index geometry and it runs with an ALTiN coating. That combination gives strong heat resistance and better tool life especially when you’re spinning at high RPM. Then there's the free-cutting style, it helps the surface look better and it also helps chips move out cleanly while cutting down on chatter, and general wear, so machinists can push feeds and speeds farther along without losing accuracy.
