The CGS Tool M2118-S is a 10mm diameter, 2 flute solid carbide square end mill, made up for high-speed machining of aluminum, non ferrous metals, plastics and composite materials. And, as part of the 2000 Series Ferocious, this high performance cutting tool has that chip evacuation thing handled well, plus aggressive material removal rates, and overall dependable machining performance for tricky CNC milling use cases , even when things are demanding.
It’s manufactured from premium solid carbide and the M2118-S comes with CGS Tool’s original 55° high helix geometry, which is supposed to push chip flow more efficiently, lower cutting forces too, and help maintain fast feed rates without going too wild. With the square end design you get clean, accurate cuts, so it works nicely for slotting, pocketing, profiling, contouring, and those finishing tasks. You also have a 25mm length of cut and a 63mm overall length, which gives a decent compromise between cutting depth, reach, and rigidity for a lot of different machining applications. The ZrN coating, adds wear resistance, helps cut down built up edge formation, and supports solid performance specifically when machining aluminum and other non ferrous materials.
