The CGS Tool M2220-S is a 10mm diameter, 2 flute, solid carbide square end mill, made for high speed machining in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. It’s part of the 2000 Series Ferocious, and it’s meant to give really strong chip evacuation, quick material removal rates, and dependable milling performance in tough CNC tasks.
Made from good-quality solid carbide, the M2220-S has CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which boosts chip flow, lowers cutting forces, and somehow helps you push more aggressive feeds. The square end design gives cleaner, accurate cuts, so it works well for slotting, pocketing, profiling, contouring, and even finishing jobs. Plus, the 63mm length of cut and 100mm overall length offer impressive reach for deep cavities, long reach milling, and those complex part geometries, while staying rigid and steady during cutting. On top of that, the ZrN coating adds wear resistance, cuts down on built-up edge formation, and supports stronger machining when you’re running aluminium and other non-ferrous materials.
