The CGS Tool M2220-UC is a 10mm diameter, 2 flute, solid carbide square end mill made for high speed machining, mainly aluminium, other non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. It’s part of the 2000 Series Ferocious so it’s supposed to handle chip evacuation really well, push high material removal rates, and still feel dependable during tough CNC milling jobs, even when the cuts are aggressive.
Made from premium solid carbide, the M2220-UC uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, and that shape is meant to push chip flow forward, lower the cutting forces a bit, and help you run higher feeds without getting shaky. The square end tool profile gives cleaner and more accurate cuts, so it fits slotting, pocketing, profiling, contouring, and finishing work. Also, the extended 63mm length of cut plus a 100mm overall length gives you extra reach for deep cavities, long reach milling, and those complex part shapes while keeping good rigidity and cutting stability. The uncoated finish is tuned for aluminium and non-ferrous materials, so you get efficient chip removal and neat cutting results, with no coating buildup showing up later.
