The CGS Tool MX143-5001.015 is basically a 1/2” diameter, 4 flute solid carbide corner radius end mill made with precision machining in mind. It’s meant for hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy, and other kinds of exotic alloys. And yeah it’s part of the VMAX MX143 Series, so you kind of expect stable cutting behavior, better surface finishing, and longer lasting performance when you’re running tougher CNC milling work.
On top of that the MX143-5001.015 uses variable helix and variable pitch geometry ,which helps calm chatter and also reduces machining harmonics. That in turn makes the cut more consistent, and it pushes cutting efficiency in a good direction. The premium nACRo coating gives strong protection from heat and wear, and the .015” corner radius adds extra cutting edge strength. So overall it’s more reliable during aggressive milling, even when the conditions get a bit rough.
