Product Overview
The CGS Tool 140-1719 is an 11/64" diameter 4-flute solid carbide square end mill made for shops that need precision over brute force. It's part of the 140 Series, CGS Tool's standard general-purpose line, and it fills a specific role: smaller slots, tight profiles, and side wall work where the finish has to come off the machine clean, without a secondary pass to fix it.
At this diameter, there's not much room for error, so the 30° helix does a lot of the work. It keeps chips moving out of the cut instead of packing into the flutes, which is usually what kills a smaller tool before its time. There's no coating on this one, and it doesn't really need one. Machinists running mild steel, stainless, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous stock, plastics, or composites can expect it to hold its edge through normal shop use without special handling.
