The CGS Tool 2048-S has a 5/8” diameter, 2 flute solid carbide square end mill, made for maximum material removal along with surface precision, in aluminum, non ferrous metals and plastics. It comes from the ferocious series, and it’s aimed at machinists who want high performance at extreme feed rates and maybe a little more confidence in every run.
Made using premium sub micro grain carbide, the 2048-S has a 55° high helix so you get better chip evacuation , lower cutting forces, and really nice surface finishes. The polished cutting edges plus a free cutting profile help reduce built up edge , while still holding solid tool life, even when you push high speed CNC setups.
