Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2048.125-S is a 5/8” diameter, 2 flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, built for high speed machining of aluminum, non ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. Like, as part of the CR2000 Series Ferocious, this tool tends to bring really strong cutting performance, better staying power, and that more refined surface finish quality you want, especially on tougher CNC milling jobs.
Made from top tier solid carbide, the CR2048.125-S uses CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry. That design helps with quick chip evacuation, eases cutting forces, and it sort of supports aggressive feed rates without getting too wild. The .125" corner radius also acts as a corner reinforcement, so the cutting edge stays steadier, reduces the chance of chipping, and helps extend tool life while still keeping dimensional accuracy. Then the ZrN coating adds extra wear resistance, cuts down on built-up edge formation, and improves overall machining efficiency, particularly in aluminum and other non ferrous materials.
