Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2036.015-S is a 1/2” diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made for high-speed machining with aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. It's kind of part of the CR2000 Series Ferocious lineup, so it tends to give strong cutting performance, better edge durability and really solid surface finishes for precision CNC milling tasks.
Built from premium solid carbide the CR2036.015-S has CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which helps with chip evacuation and keeps cutting forces down. The corner radius shape gives extra robustness too, because it helps reduce stress concentration at the cutting edge, less chipping, and generally a nicer surface finish. Also, the ZrN coating improves wear resistance, limits built-up edge, and helps extend tool life especially in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials.
