Product Overview

The CGS Tool CR2066.030-S is a 1" diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill put together for high-performance machining on aluminum, non-ferrous metals, plastics , and composite materials. It’s in the CR2000 Series Ferocious line, so it has this exceptional cutting efficiency, some enhanced edge durability, and a really good surface finish quality, especially when you’re running demanding CNC milling jobs.
Made from premium solid carbide, the CR2066.030-S shows CGS Tool’s own 55° high helix geometry, which is meant to push chip evacuation along, keep cutting forces down, and handle more aggressive feed rates. The .030" corner radius kind of reinforces the cutting edge, so it helps reduce chipping and can extend tool life, while still keeping precise dimensional accuracy. Then there’s the ZrN coating , which boosts wear resistance, helps reduce built-up edge formation and improves overall machining performance when you’re cutting aluminum and other non-ferrous materials.
