Product Overview
The CGS Tool CR2069.090-S is a 1" diameter, 2-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill, made for high performance machining of aluminum, non ferrous metals, plastics and composite materials. And, it sits in the CR2000 Series Ferocious family so it's supposed to give strong material removal rates, nice chip control , and steady milling results even when the CNC work gets demanding.
It comes manufactured from premium solid carbide, and the CR2069.090-S has CGS Tool’s original 55° high helix geometry. That angle helps with chip evacuation , lowers cutting forces, and tends to support more aggressive feeds. The .090" corner radius adds strength to the cutting edge, so you get less chipping and better tool life. Also it helps keep dimensional accuracy, which matters for both profiling work and tighter tolerances. You also get an extended 4" length of cut along with a 7" overall length, giving reach for deep cavity machining, long reach contouring, and heavy stock removal tasks. Finally the advanced ZrN coating boosts wear resistance, cuts down on built-up edge formation, and keeps machining performance consistent when you are cutting aluminum and other non ferrous materials.
